Eyelash Extension Aftercare

Eyelash extensions are not for everyone. This is a very high maintenance beauty treatment. It requires very gentle care in order for the lashes to last long and stay in good condition. Once the lashes are attached you must not rub or pull on them. You must not wear any mascara or use eyelash curlers. You should read and understand all the information listed below, and sign the form before you get this service done.

What are Eyelash Extensions? Eyelash Extensions are individual synthetic material. They are attached to your eyelash individually not to the skin. Each synthetic lash is attached to an eyelash. It is a very enhancing beauty service and you DO NOT need to use any Mascara while wearing these Eyelash extensions. It is a very careful and intense service which requires skill and precision.

How long do the Eyelashes last? It is an individual process. We lose one Eyelash almost everyday. We also grow a new lash to replace the one that fell out. These Lashes can stay on up to 1 full month with proper care and maintenance. However, factors such as eyelash growth, lifestyle and general after care will affect how long the lashes last. Please do not attempt to remove any lashes on your own, seek professional help from your technician. WE WILL NOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT YOU MAY CAUSE BY TRYING TO REMOVE THE EYELASH EXTENSIONS ON YOUR OWN.

Do the false eyelashes damage my natural eyelashes? No, not at all! The Lash adhesive is formulated to create a solid bond, specifically for human lashes. The adhesive dries very soft on the lashes, allowing the lashes to stay flexible and bouncy just like your own lashes.

Botox Pre & Post Care

  • This treatment is not recommended if you have an important event within 2 weeks of injection due to potential for bruising.
  • Avoid herbal supplements such as Ginko, green tea and anti-inflammatories of any kind for 2 weeks before and following treatment to limit bruising.
  • For the first 5-6 hours following Botox, remain upright and periodically perform facial movements in the areas of injections in order to work the Botox into the muscle – e.g., smile, squint, etc.
  • Do not participate in activities that include heavy lifting, vigorous exercise or straining for 2-3 hours (it takes approximately 2-3 hours for Botox to bind to the nerve and you do not want to increase circulation during that time).
  • Do not rub, touch, or manipulate Botox for 6 hours.
  • Avoid irritating products for 24 hours following Botox.
  • Make-up may be applied gently before leaving the office, remember to wipe up and away from your eyes or brows.
  • Bruising in the area injected is normal and often expected, especially if treated around the eyes. Bruising can last up to several weeks. Using/taking Arnica may help diminish bruising.
  • It may take up to 12 days for Botox to take full effect.
  • A follow-up visit at 10 days to 2 weeks is suggested to assess results for subsequent treatments, particularly if you are a first time client. If full correction is not achieved, you will need to purchase additional Botox for injection.
  • Re-treatment is typically needed between 2-6 months.
  • Regular injections usually yield a longer lasting Botox result.
  • If your upper lip was treated you will not be able to drink through a straw, whistle, or enunciate some words for approximately 2 weeks.
  • Although rare, infection in the injected area is possible. Signs of infection may include redness and tenderness in the infected area and fever. Should you develop an infection, antibiotics may be necessary. Please contact us should you have any concerns.
If you have ANY questions or concerns, please call our office during business hours.

I understand that these pre/post care instructions are important to my overall treatment. I agree that I have read and understand what is required of me before and following my treatment.

Dermal Fillers General Treatment Information
RESTYLANE®, PERLANE® and JUVEDERM®
Avoid touching the treated area for six hours. After that, light makeup can be applied and the area can be gently washed with soap and water.

Do not expose the treated area to intense heat (e.g. solarium and sunbathing) or extreme cold for at least two weeks.

Immediately after the treatment, there may be slight redness, swelling, tenderness and an itching sensation in the treated area. This is a normal result of the injection. The inconvenience is usually temporary and generally disappears in less than 6 hours after injection into the skin and less than 1-2 days after injection into the lips. Occasionally the initial swelling after lip treatment may last longer. Occasionally some patients experience swelling for about a week and the lips can look somewhat uneven during this time. This means that the result directly after the treatment should not be seen as the final result. If you have previously suffered from facial cold sores, there is a risk that the needle punctures could contribute to another eruption of cold sores. If you are using aspirin or any similar medication, be aware that these may increase the bruising and bleeding at the injection site. Cold compresses or ice pack can also be used to reduce any swelling, itching or discomfort.
Other types of reactions are very rare, but occasionally some patients have experienced other reactions. Please be sure to review the consent form for further details.

These aesthetic products are temporary injectable fillers and the duration of the effect can vary from patient to patient. You may wish to consider additional treatments before the effect has completely dissipated.

Instructions to Minimize Discomfort:
You may wish to take a regular dose (325 to 1000 mg – depending on your size) of plain Tylenol every 4-6 hours after your treatment for a day or so. This will generally make you more comfortable. It is also a good idea to apply ice to the treated area for 20 minutes every 4 – 6 hours for the first 12 –24 hours after your treatment.

Non-Invasive Magnetic Tattoo Removal

  • For the first three days, cover the area with a layer of antibiotic healing ointment.
  • Must be kept it bandaged with pads.
  • Warn them to no apply any other creams or makeup to the treated area within the first few days.
  • The bandage can be removed after three days. New bandages can be used during this time as needed.
  • The area must be kept as clean and dry as possible.
  • A thin layer of restorative protective cream, such as Eucerin or Aquaphor may be added to the area as it heals.
  • It will help to restore damaged skin cells.
  • Do not use Neosporin
  • Sun exposure is one of the worst things for the skin after any method of removal.

Can You Shower After Magnetic Tattoo Removal?

  • Yes. Avoid avoid high-pressure water.
  • Clean the area gently with mild soap and pat dry.
  • Do not soak the area until it is completely healed.
  • Avoid baths, hot tubs, and swimming pools, as all of these can increase your chances for infection.
  • Drink lots of water.
  • Keeping the body hydrated is key to maintaining a strong immune system. It helps flush out toxins and restore blood cells, which are key to preventing infections.
  • Decrease alcohol consumption. Too much alcohol intake can cause dehydration, which slows down the healing process. If possible, avoid alcohol entirely.
  • Do not smoke. Smoking causes the immune system to work harder to remove the pollutants. The body won’t be able to work as hard at healing the skin.
  • Non-smokers see better results and usually need fewer treatments.
  • Exercise. Exercising increases blood flow. Increased blood flow actually helps to break down the ink particles in your skin.
  • Take a few days off exercising immediately after treatment. But once your skin scabs over, physical activity can help the tattoo removal process along. For faster and more effective results, there are two things must be avoided

1. DO NOT OVEREXPOSE to the Sun After tattoo removal treatment must keep the treated area out of the sun.

If there is sunburn in between treatments, the next session must be postponed until the skin returns to its normal color.

Delaying treatments will prolong the process and make it take longer to see permanent results.
And it is not just sunburns that slow the healing process – any amount of tanning can have the same effect.
Make sure to keep your skin covered with sunscreen and clothing or bandages if you plan on spending any time in the sun. Sunscreen only on totally healed skin

2 DO NOT Pick Scabs or Pop Blisters

Blistering and scabbing are natural side effects of the healing process. It is tempting to pop and pick at your skin. Avoid this at all cost. Opening the wound not only increases the risk of infection but also prolongs the healing process.

3 No exercising immediately after treatment for approximatively 6 days

Exercising may stimulate collagen production, and crackle the scabbing during the healing
The total healing time after Magnetic tattoo removal treatment is about 3 to 4 weeks. But what is done during those weeks can increase or decrease the healing process. Healing times vary depending on the type of treatment, the strength of the immune system, and how closely the Aftercare plan is followed. And by protecting the wound, an open scab will be avoided, which helps it heal without interruption.

  • Do not allow lips to become dry. This may interfere with healed color.
  • During the day if lips feel dry, apply a liberal amount of ointment. Just tap on skin and do not rub in. Always use a clean Q-tip, not fingers to apply ointment to the lips area. This will reduce the risk of secondary infection. It is advised to sleep on an old pillowcase. There will be residual pigment coming off the lips for several days that can stain linens.
  • After lips are no longer tender to the touch they may become flaky. This is normal and is expected. Please do not pick or scratch at them. This may significantly reduce the amount pigment uptake.
  • Avoid the sun and tanning beds pre & post procedure.
